Hypomyces laterittus
Location: UCSC Campus, Santa Cruz Co., California, USA
Collection Date: 22-Apr-12
Project #: CSALVA-19
Comments: This Hypomyces is uncommon on the gills of Lactarius in the orange-red bleeding section in our
area.
"[The sequence] is a chimera where the ITS2 is actually from Lactarius rubrilacteus and if you blast the entire
sequence these are the closest matches you will get but they will only be
comparing ITS2. If you blast the ITS1 separately you come close to Sepedonium and Cladobotryum which are ... names for some of the
anamorphic stages of Hypomyces." - Joshua Birkebak
Sequence: >G06_3081_1F+ITS1_88 (Contaminated)
