Truncocolumella citrina
Location: Red Hill Road, UCSC Campus, Santa Cruz County, California, USA
Collection Date: 27-Oct-12
Project #: CSALVA-15
Comments: This was the only hypogeous species included in this first round of sequencing - it was chosen because it is common and distinctive. The ‘columella’ structure inside the fruitbodies and the bright golden-orange peridium set it apart from any other similar species (especially Rhizopogon, which lack the columella).
Sequence: >A01_3077_1F+ITS4_85
